
Eva L. Feindler, Ph.D. is professor of psychology at the Long Island University Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from
Mount Holyoke College and her graduate degrees from West Virginia University. Prior to her position at LIU, Dr. Feindler was at Adelphi University where she also directed the graduate program in Applied Behavioral Technology. In 2010 she completed a post graduate program at the Stephen Mitchell Center for Relational Psychotherapy in NYC and in 2018 she completed a program at Widener University for advanced training in Affirmative Therapy for Transgender
Communities. She is a Fellow in Divisions 12, 42 and 53 of APA and ABCT. In August of 2024 she received an APA Presidential Citation for Collaboration with International Psychologists in Tanzania over the past 6 years. Dr. Feindler has been involved in training graduate students in clinical psychology for 35 years. During that time, she was Director of the Psychological Services Center, the on-campus training clinic for the doctoral program and was Program Director for 10 years. In addition, Dr. Feindler served as the faculty coordinator of the Pride Healing Center, where services for LGBTQ clients were provided from 2017 until 2021 and students and supervisors were trained in gender-affirming care. Lastly, she founded an international mentorship program with psychologists from Tanzania from 2019-2024.She is currently a site visitor for the accreditation component of APA. She has published extensively, has been on 2 editorial journal boards and has been guest reviewer for over 20 different journals. Further, she has authored or edited 6 books between 1987 and 2024 and numerous journal articles.
